mcp-doctor is free and open-source software released under the MIT License. It is a command-line tool that analyses Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for health, quality, and security issues, running entirely on your own machine. The authoritative terms for the code itself are those of the MIT License in the repository.
2. Acceptable use
- Use the software lawfully and only on systems you own or are authorised to analyse.
- Do not use the tools to attack, probe, or disrupt systems without authorisation.
- Do not misrepresent the software's output or affiliation.
3. Platform integrations
Certain integrations we operate connect to third-party platforms (for example, TikTok and YouTube) using our own authorised accounts, solely to publish and manage content we own. When such integrations use a platform's APIs, that use complies with the relevant platform's developer terms and policies. We do not use these integrations to access, post to, or manage accounts other than our own without authorisation.
4. Donations
mcp-doctor is free to use with no paywall. Voluntary donations, if offered, are exactly that — voluntary — and grant no additional rights, warranties, or obligations. Donations are non-refundable.
5. No warranty
The software and website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Security analysis output is provided as guidance and does not guarantee that a system is secure or free of vulnerabilities.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and copyright holders shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or its use.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
